Our Approach

At Emergent Order, our mission has always been to discover and share stories with the potential to change the world. So, when the president a prestigious and influential think tank walked through our door, we started to get excited. Inspired by Brooks's intelligence and compassion, we pitched an expansive, cerebral documentary that would take us around the globe, from the slums of Mumbai to the coffee shops of Copenhagen, and into the heart of America's most vexing social and political problems. Directed by John Papola and produced by Teryn Fogel, Spencer Stoner, and Marshall Walker Lee, The Pursuit is a nuanced portrait of one man's search for meaning.
